73^rd Leicester (Groby) Scout Group

All sections of the group were represented at the annual Leicester City District's St. George's Day parade through Leicester. The Explorer Unit provided the colour party for one of the two parades.

The Scout Group came home laden with trophies at the end of the District Swimming gala. The Cub pack, Scout troop and Explorer Unit all won the overall trophy for their section. The Scout troop won by a single point over the troop in second place. The Explorer Scouts who had come to support the team made a splash at the end of the event when they decided to jump, fully clothed, into the pool. This was the first District Event the Group had attended since joining Leicester North East District and it can certainly be said that we made a splash!

The Explorer Unit together with the 2nd Groby Guides and the Brownies took a leading role in the Remembrance Sunday service at Groby Church.
