Groby Scout Group assisted “Churches together in Groby” with their recent fun day with the loan of a couple of the Group’s large tents. The Fun Day was held at Groby Community College and featured various stalls and performances from various artists including the “Groby Sings” choir. A mess tent and gazebo were loaned by the Scouts which included an erecting and taking down service provided by the Explorer Unit.
As part of Scout Community Week, members of Groby Scout Group carried out a litter pick around Cowpen Spinney and the old railway line. The Scouts collected 18 sacks in 2 hours. The health and safety equipment was provided by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.
